Delete your account

In the app

Open Akaal, go to Profile, and tap Delete account. Your account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

Email akaal.app.support@gmail.com from the email address you use to sign in to Akaal, with the subject "Delete my account". Akaal deletes the account within 30 days (usually much sooner) and replies to confirm. Accounts with a username have no email address: delete them in the app, or a parent or guardian can use the link in Akaal's approval emails. If you can't sign in, email us the username and the birth month and year on the account; we may ask for more to confirm it's yours before deleting it.

What is deleted

Your account and profile (email address or username, password, name or nickname, photo, birth month and year, and settings); Sevas you hosted with their chats, photos and details; your messages, photos, reflections, Seva sign-ups, check-ins, supply offers, follows, blocks and the reports you made; your service-hours forms (including any you requested for children who came with you) and their verification codes; reports other people made about you; and your uploaded files.

What stays: service-hours forms you signed as a host stay with the volunteers they belong to, with your name and contact details as written on them. The administrators' record of actions taken on reports stays. Deleted data may remain in backups for up to about a week before those backups are overwritten.

Progress, bookmarks, streaks and settings kept only on your device aren't on Akaal's servers; deleting the app or clearing its data removes them.
